Biography
Dr. Amna H. M. Mahmoud is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the CompChem Lab in the Faculty of Science at Minia University, which she first joined in 2018 as a member of its Talented Students Incubator Program. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry in 2020, Master of Science in Chemistry in 2023, and PhD in Physical Chemistry in May 2026. Her doctoral research bridged computational chemistry and computational materials science, exploring the structural and adsorption properties of two-dimensional nanostructured materials for environmental and biosensing applications. In addition to her postdoctoral position, Dr. Mahmoud serves as a Research Assistant at the CompChem Lab and in the Chemistry Department at the American University in Cairo. She has authored 16 publications and holds an h-index of 7. She is also an affiliated member of the Egyptian Society of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry (ESTCC). |
